Mission

Our Mission

The Mission of the East Beach Association is the care, maintenance and preservation of the ocean front property in Westerly, Rhode Island commonly know as the "East Beach", beginning immediately to the east of the lighthouse in the Fire District of Watch Hill and extending to the beginning of the beach property in the Fire District of Misquamicut.

The Pack In/Pack Out Initiative

In 2010 one of the more significant changes to the East Beach was the EBA's decision to spearhead an environmental effort to encourage day visitors to East Beach to take responsibility for their own garbage. This new policy brought us in line with the other beaches in the area that have been asking their visitors to practice "pack in/pack out" when bringing their disposables to the beach.

Please help us to keep the East Beach a beautiful beach for all its visitors by respecting the sensitive dune habitat and practicing the "Pack In/Pack Out" policy.
